Dolawel Cottage - A family space
A self catering holiday cottage, in Newport, Pembrokeshire, which sleeps 10 guests, situated in one and a half acres of its own garden grounds. The beautiful gardens which completely surround the property include a wonderful wild flower meadow created by the owners and much loved by all guests, giving children a safe expanse to explore and making life easy for our guests who bring their dogs to enjoy the delights of a pet-friendly environment.

The cottage interior is a light airy living space with thoughtfully chosen finishing touches, to create that home from home experience. Dolawel sleeps 10 Adults, it has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in the main house. In the garden there is a Summerhouse that has 2 single beds, hugely popular with teenagers.
There is a lovely log fire in the living room, ideal for cosy evenings in watching the TV / DVD or playing games. The living area and connecting dining room with neutral decor and picture windows, open onto a huge decked area, with spectacular coastal views of Newport Bay, the perfect place to breakfast and plan the day ahead exploring the area.

Kitchen and Dining
The large new kitchen is fully equipped with top of the range Neff ceramic hob, cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and all the utensils and all the necessities you will need to cook up a feast. There is also a breakfast bar with stools and beyond the kitchen you will find a utility room with and an additional sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board.
The large table in the dining space, will comfortably sit 10 people, with floor to ceiling windows to take in those exquisite views across Newport Bay.
The Bedrooms
- Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom and sea views, has a large king-size bed with built in wardrobes, chest of drawer, dressing table. The en-suite has a bath with shower over, sink and WC.
- Bedroom 2 with en-suite shower room and garden view, has a king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers. The en-suite has a power shower, sink and WC.
- Bedroom 3, has a bunk bed, with fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and chair.
- Bedroom 4, has a single bed, with fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and chair.
- Upstairs are two more bedrooms, one with twin beds, one a single bedroom, both with wardrobes and drawers, with views towards the local mountain, ‘Carningli’ and towards the sea. There is also a large separate bathroom upstairs.
Take a look outside
The beautiful, well kept garden, completely surrounds the cottage, offering an idyllic private setting to enjoy a family BBQ on the raised decked patio area with superb coastal views looking towards Morfa Head. Children are free to play in the safe, secluded grounds and can easily be seen from the large picture windows to the rear of the property.
Beyond the manicured garden, there is a large fragrant meadow, specially created by the owners that offers an abundance of flora and wildlife to explore.

Good to Know
- A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted in the cottage. A charge of £20 per dog is required, we do ask that all dogs are well behaved and are kept out of bedrooms and off the furniture.
- A cot and high chair are provided.
- The parking area is ample, suitable for 5 cars / boats.
- Wifi is available in the cottage and a phone which accepts incoming calls.
- Included in the price: All electric and gas, plus duvets, blankets and pillows.
- Not included in the price: Bed linen, if you do require bed linen, this can easily be arranged at a charge of £12 per head. Towels are not included with the accommodation, please get in touch for further details.
